Sunshine Lotion

This recipe took some trial and error but I finally came up with one that I really love and has been amazing for my kids!

Here is what you need:

  • 1/2 cup Avocado Oil
  • 1/4 cup Sweet Almond Oil
  • 1/4 cup Beeswax
  • 2 TBSP Shea Butter
  • 1 tsp Vitamin E oil
  • 16 drop Carrot Seed EO
  • 14 drops Lavender EO
  • 14 drops Myrrh EO
  • 2 TBSP non nano Zinc Oxide Powder (The Non Nano is important because it means the particles are too big to absorb into your skin. It will leave white marks on your skin, but it’s much healthier to not have the zinc oxide absorbing into your blood stream!)
  • Small containers (Jars or Silicon Tubes)

What to do:

  • In a double boiler, combine everything except the EO’s and zinc oxide
  • Warm over medium heat until everything is melted, but don’t let it get too hot or it’s hard to handle in the next step
  • Pour into a glass jar and let it cool briefly, add in the EO’s and zinc oxide
  • Put a tight lid on the jar and shake really well. The reason for doing this in the jar is to avoid inhaling the zinc power
  • Pour into desired containers and allow to cool before using

SunShine Lotion

I really like these Silicon Tubes from amazon so that you don’t have to have a glass container when you are out and about. They hold up really well and this recipe fills up all 3 tubes
